When and where is the next Katikati Avo Fest?
Saturday 10th January 2026, 12noon - 6pm at Uretara Domain, Major Street, Katikati, Western Bay of Plenty.
What time do the gates open on the day?
12 noon.
Can I buy tickets at the gate?
No, tickets cannot be purchased at the gate
Tickets can be purchased online here leading up to the day and on the day until 5.30pm.
Tickets will also be available in Katikati at The Arts Junction, 36 Main Road, Katikati leading up to the day and on the day until 2pm.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
Please leave food and drinks at home. You can only bring sealed water bottles or empty bottles to fill with water provided at the venue. There will be a great selection of food and beverages available for purchase.
Free water will be available at the front and back gates.
Can I bring food for my baby?
Yes – for up to one-year olds.
Will there be a range of allergy-free food available?
Yes!
Can I bring my dog?
No dogs allowed with the exception of service animals.
Can I bring my own chair or bean bag?
Yes, you are very welcome to bring a chair or picnic rug to make yourself comfortable.
Are sunshades or gazebos allowed?
You are welcome to put up a sun umbrella or sun shade up to a height of one metre, but gazebos are not allowed.
Is there parking available?
Yes, parking is available at the venue off Crossley Street for a $5 cash fee, or you can find parking on the surrounding streets.
Is Motorhome parking available?
Parking is available at the Katikati Primary School, Beach Rd, Katikati for $20 per night, per campervan. We warmly welcome members of NZMCA and other motorhomes. See more info here.
Is Mobility Parking available?
Yes, off Mulgan Street, down the Church driveway.
Is public transport available?
Yes, return bus fares are available from Bethlehem, Waihi, Waihi Beach//Athenree, Omokoroa and Tauranga. Bus tickets can be purchased with your festival tickets or separately here.
Taxi services are also available on the day.

Should I bring cash?
While EFTPOS cash-out is available on-site (situated at the main gate, fees apply), bringing cash will make your purchases easier.
What should I be prepared for?
Katikati can be very hot in January. Please remember to bring sunblock, a hat, and sunglasses, and be prepared for the weather.
Proof of Age:
Bring proof of age if you’re 18-25 years old. You must be 18+ to drink alcohol. Birth Certificate, Drivers License, HANZ 18+ card, or Passport are accepted as proof of age.
What happens if it rains or a performer is cancelled?
The festival will proceed regardless of the weather.
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable, except as required by law.
ON THE DAY INFORMATION
Be courteous, polite and considerate to other attendees, vendors, exhibitors and volunteers.
The Promoter reserves the right to prohibit entry to, or remove from the event, any person under the influence of drugs and alcohol, showing disorderly or inappropriate behaviour.
Smoking or Vaping is not permitted in the Uretara Domain.
In case of accidents or medical emergencies, the Red Cross First Aid Station is located at the Main Gate.
The Katikati Avo Fest will be taking photographs and videos at the show. Entry to the show means you will be permitting us to use such photographs for future promotion and marketing purposes; and as outlined in our full Terms and Conditions. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please politely ask our professional photographer to not photograph/film you.
ON ARRIVAL
On arrival at the Festival, make sure you head on over to the Glass and Wristband tent (by each entrance) to collect your free branded Festival (plastic) glass to use for drinks. The wristband also proves to Vendors you are over 18 years old and can be served alcohol.
LOST KIDS! If you lose a child, please inform the volunteers at the Wristband Tent by the main entrance.
WHEN YOU LEAVE
When you leave the venue, please be respectful of the neighbours living near the Domain.
Please note the area outside of the Uretara Domain grounds venue is a liquor ban area. No alcohol can be consumed in public spaces when you leave the venue.
