Request for Service: Volunteer Assistance
The Funfest Charitable Trust runs the annual Katikati Avocado Food and Wine Festival. The trust relies on volunteer help, in order to make the festival run. In return, the festival makes a donation to those groups that have helped reflective of the service provided. In the past this has been one organisation each year. This year the trust would like to spread the tasks amongst groups and provide a wider benefit to the Katikati community. The event is on Saturday 11th of January 2025, with setup on Friday 10th of January 2025.

Each area has the specific tasks needed and expected donation on the attachments below. Numbers of personnel needed allows for time off the duties and to rest, particularly those tasks through the event. Some tasks need all “hands on deck” at the beginning and then just a skeleton crew to finish off or pack down.
The trust invites community groups to express an interest in any of the above areas that they can provide the resources for. All tasks will have a defined time that they need to be completed within, to enable the smooth preparation and running of the event. Each task will have an appropriate donation and where necessary passes to get into the event.
The timeline for the expression of interest is as follows:
13th September – Expressions of interest close
1st October - Trustees finalise the groups and notify groups
31st October - Groups to provide details of volunteers
November / December – Funfest Charitable Trust to make contact with groups and outline responsibilities
